Public Victory
Whether people know it or not, there is a very well thought out conversation going on in the blogosphere about our current situation. At present, it only tangentially is concerned with anything like governing, or political parties, or winning votes. However, if this conversation is to be taken seriously, it must start thinking about and filling in the gaps from theory to policy, and from ideas to practical politics.
As I discussed in my creation of the “Public Victory” page, the policies discussed here will primarily focus on acknowledgement of scale and place, building individuals upward, and advancement toward peace. I won’t be discussing how to best market or pitch these ideas to a general public. That is for the campaign managers. What I think these ideas will provide is a bridge between the theoretical concepts that I have broadly outlined and what they could possibly look like in practice. The ideas may also provide some outside the box thinking in areas of policy that are increasingly discussed within four corners that get smaller and smaller. That is to say that Republicans and Democrats look more and more the same every day, and if the country is to survive I think there must be supra-party policy discussions that take into account the concepts I have outlined above.
